Min Min Ma

Born in Shanghai, Min Min Ma moved to Montreal at the age of ten. Interested in arts, design, sculpture and cinema from a young age and always fascinated with the fashion and beauty industries, Ma knew that she is meant to have a career in the creative field.

After completing college and relocating to Toronto in 2001, Ma embarked on a journey as a freelance makeup artist. There, she played a prominent role in Canada’s editorial and print advertising worlds while also collaborated with Lush Magazine and Highrise Magazine as Beauty Director.

Ma seeks to effortlessly deliver beautiful, fresh skin, designing around her subject’s natural features and individuality. She relishes in experiment with color, texture, and pushing the boundaries of conventional makeup, citing her inspirations as everyday people and life itself.

During her career, Ma has worked with Aveda, L’Oréal, P&G, Aldo Group, Bloomingdales and Little Marc Jacobs to name a few and personalities such as Penelope Cruz, Lily Allen, Feist, Kelly Osborne and Lenny Kravitz.

Ma is currently based in New York City, enjoys working abroad and traveling the world.
